Hello and thank you for checking out my auction for a Special Gold Version release of the FA-010S Full Armor ZZ Gundam from Ganso SD Gundam World, released by Bandai in 1996.

During the early years of SD Gundam (late 1980s to early 1990s), two primary product lines emerged as fan favorites – the BB Senshi line of plastic model kits, and the Ganso SD Gundam World series of premium model kits that used higher quality plastic. Compared side to side, the parts from BB Senshi kits are more brittle. Similar to the battle between VHS and Betamax, Bandai opted to continue the SD Gundam line with BB Senshi and discountinued the Ganso line, most likely due to the higher production costs. Except for limited edition reissues such as this one, Ganso SD kits are pretty much extinct as Bandai has not kept them on a reissue cycle like most other Gundam kits, making them highly sough after collector’s items.

This kit was a regional release by Bandai’s Hong Kong division, which also distributes to Singapore. Like all limited issue model kits from Bandai that were based on exist kits, the box is a monochrome replica of the original version’s design.

This SD Gundam features transformation action between the regular ZZ Gundam and the Full Armor ZZ Gundam via removable armor pieces. The missile pods on the backpack can open and close. Other accessories include a double beam rifle and a hyper mega cannon.

Kit is brand new unbuild and the box is factory sealed. However the box has seen better days. There is some surface wear and a bump/crease near the upper left corner of the box. The box might have also been slightly yellowed due to age, but it is kind of hard to tell as the box is printed in monochrome. This rare SD Gundam collectible will be shipped to you from a non-smoking residence.
