Hello and thank you for checking out my auction for the EX Model Dopp Fighter kit from Mobile Suit Gundam, released by Bandai of Japan in 2001. This is a 2-pack which includes both 1/100 scale and 1/144 scale versions of the Dopp Fighter.

The Dopp Fighter first appeared in the anime Mobile Suit Gundam as part of Zeon’s air force during their occupation of Earth. Launched from the air carrier Gaw, the Dopp squadrons can overwhelm enemies with sheer numbers, even Garma Zabi has his own custom painted Dopp which he flies into battle with. The Dopp also appears in Gundam The 08th MS Team as well, with Norris Packard in its cockpit this time around. Developed by the Zeon military as a small but extremely agile air combat unit to operate in areas where radar is rendered useless due to the presence of Minovsky particles, the Dopp features a uniquely designed canopy that offers its pilot a wide range of vision to make up for the lack of radar warnings. The Dopp’s compact design also allows for more units to be carried by the Gaw class carrier.

This kit of Dopp Fighter is a faithful reproduction of the mean machine from the anime, and comes with parts for you to build one in 1/144 scale and one in 1/100 scale so you can display them next to a HGUC (1/144 scale) Zaku and a MG (1/100 scale) Zaku or any Zeon mobile suit of your choosing. Both versions feature clear canopy parts so the cockpit details underneath can be seen, working landing gears for you to display the Dopp Fighter in either flight or parked mode. The 1/100 scale model also features folding wings so it can be displayed in Carrier-hangar parked mode.

Kit requires cement and painting, as the EX Model line was designed to appeal to the military model enthusiasts who also happen to be Gundam fans but expect Tamiya/Hasegawa level of craftsmanship in their kits. The non-snap fit design of the EX Models allow for a more accurate reproduction of the subjects and better details in the molding.

This is a 2001 original issue from Bandai of Japan. Kit is brand new unbuilt with all the parts still sealed in factory original plastic bags. Box shows little wear from storage. Except for a light bump near the box’s upper left corner and some glue residue from the old price sticker, the box is in excellent condition. This collectible Gundam kit will be shipped to you from a non-smoking residence..
