Hello and thank you for checking out my auction for the special 20th Anniversary edition release of the Master Grade RX-78-2 Gundam model kit, also known as the Coating Version MG Gundam. 

For the 20th Anniversary of Gundam, Bandai released a small collection of Master Grade Gundam model kits whose parts received a special spray coat treatment to give them a semi-reflective, metallic look.  Once assembled, they will display very nicely thanks to the special coating on the parts.  As these kits were designed to be snap fit and require no painting (although detailing the panel lines with a Gundam Marker certainly won’t hurt), your completed model will look like the samples in the photos printed on the box, with the exception of the 1/20 scale figure of pilot Amuro Ray, who comes molded in a flesh tone and will require painting.

This kit is identical to the first MG Gundam released in the mid-1990s, so you can expect the same features, such as:

- Transformable Core Fighter

- Core Block module with scaled pilot figure sitting in the cockpit so he is visible wihen the Gundam’s cockpit hatch open

- Working hardpoints for storing the beam rifle, hyper bazooka and shield

- Opening hatches on the head, arms and legs to show off the mechanical details underneath the armor

- beam saber blades are molded in translucent pink to simulate the beam effect

- backpack mounted boosters can be articulated

- tons of points of articulation for awesome poseability

- stickers and decals included to round out the minor details so you don’t have to paint this model at all.  Decals for the alternative G-3 version is included too

- painting/color guide for the exclusive Amuro Ray figure, not found in the original MG Gundam kit as it did not include the Amuro Ray figure

Kit is brand new unbuilt with all of the parts still sealed in factory original plastic bags.  Kit is a 1998 original issue.  Box has a few spots of surface wear from storage, most notably on the front cover where the old price sticker used to be (located above the right shoulder).  It is otherwise in great shape, especially considering its age.  The kit has been part of my private collection since its release and has been kept safely away from direct sunlight and humidity.  Place your bid for this extinct species today!  This Gundam collectible will be sent to you from a non-smoking residence.

Hello and thank you for checking out my auction for the 1/60 scale MS-06R-2 Johnny Ridden’s High Mobility Zaku II model kit from Mobile Suit Variation, released by Bandai of Japan during the first half of the 1980s.

Even though Mobile Suit Gundam was not exactly a hit during its initial broadcast in Japan, the success of plastic models from the show made it a hit during re-runs. To meet market demand, the Mobile Suit Variation collection of model kits were released by Bandai. Besides populating the expanded universe of the One Year War, they also serve as a bridge while production continued on the follow-up anime series Zeta Gundam, as some of the designs from MSV would eventually appear in Zeta Gundam (giving Bandai an excuse to reissue the same kits in different boxes).

Compared to the model kits from the original show, the MSV kits feature a more realistic take on the mechas, and the variants always serve a specific military purpose instead of being “monster of the week”. Some were experimental prototypes, while others were adapted for specific operating environments. The High Mobility Zaku II was is a refined variant of the classic Zaku II that features improved thrust for space combat. Not many ofthese were built, and most of them were given to ace pilots for testing and feedback purposes.  They are highly coveted among Zeon’s ace pilots, as the possession of one of these babies is considered a status symbol.  This kit features the improved R-2 version that was customized for ace pilot Johnny Ridden. Only 4 of these R-2 Zaku IIs were ever built, and you are free to repaint this model in Robert Gillian or Gabby Hazzard custom colors (the 4th unit was used for testing and was never assigned to any combat pilots). 

This is 1 of the only 4 MSV models to be released in 1/60 scale, the same scale as the Perfect Grade (PG) Gundam kits. The completed model should stand around 12″ / 30cm tall. Since this kit was designed in the early 1980s, cement and painting is required. Parts are molded in Johnny Ridden’s custom colors (black and crimson). The major joints are articulated with an early version of polycap to prevent the joints from wearing out from repeated posing, and a decal sheet is included.

Other features of this kit include:

- Kit is designed to accommodate a battery powered LED (sold separately) to simulate the Zaku’s light-up monoeye. The monoeye unit rotates sideways inside the head via a notch hidden under the back of the head, and the battery casing is hidden inside the upper torso, which is accessible by removing the backpack

- Customizeed monoeye visor plate appears completely black but allows the light-up LED to shine through

- Polycaps for joints to keep them from wearing out due to repeated posing

- includes a figure of Zeon pilot

- include a Zaku machine gun

- Decals for the hard to paint details such as personalized insignia included with the kit

While the details and articulation of this old school model are nowhere close to the level of modern (late 1980s or newer) Gundam kits, you can’t beat the sheer presence of it when it is properly painted and completed. It is also great for parts to kitbash together a Perfect Grade MS-06R-2 High Mobility Zaku II, using parts from this kit and a PG Zaku II.

Kit is brand new unbuilt and most of the parts are still factory sealed in plastic bags.  2 of the parts runner comes from the factory not sealed in a plastic bag, as Bandai kits from the 70s and 80s were all packaged this way to reduce shipping weight and cost of materials.  This is a 1994 reissue, so the box and manual are still in fairly new condition. There is some storage and surface wear on the box, but it’s mostly in decent shape.  This kit hasn’t been reissued for a very long time, don’t miss your chance to add it to your collection! Hello and thank you for checking out my auction for the Sachiel 3rd Angel Limited Model kit from Neon Genesis Evangelion, released by Bandai of Japan in 1997 as the 22nd entry in their LM series of model kits featuring popular anime mecha designs from the late 1990s.  .

The Limited Model (LM) series was launched by Bandai with designs of the main Evas from Evangelion to meet the explosive demand of Evangelion merchandise.  The line gradually expanded to include other anime shows that were popualr at the time which Bandai also had licenses for, including Gundam Wing, Gundam X, Escaflowne, and more.  They are approximately the size of 1/144 scale Gundam models (like all HGUC Gundam kits) when assembled but usually require painting and sometimes even cement.

This Sachiel LM kit was the first Angel from Evangelion to be introduced to the LM lineup.  Due to the organic nature of the Angel’s design, the completed model is fixed pose, although according to the manual, the elbow and claw joints can be reposed by dipping the part in hot water (40 degrees Celsius, approximately 104 degrees Fahrenheit) for 2 minutes then remove the part and bend to the desired angle slowly to prevent the part from cracking.

Alternative parts are included so you can build this Sachiel as either the First Version or Second Version.  The 2 versions refer to the Sachiel’s appearance prior to and after being nuked, as it only had 1 face on its chest before getting nuked, and the face split into two as it regenerated after getting nuked. 

Kit is brand new unbuilt with all the parts still sealed in a factory original plastic bag.  Please take a look at the posted photos of the actual item you are bidding on.  Box has some light surface wear from storage, including a light crease mark at the upper right corner on the front of the box near the NAS license sticker.  The kit is a 1997 original issue and has been part of my collection since I bought it upon release.  Don’t miss your chance to add this rare Evangelion item to your collection!  It will be sent to you from a non-smoking residence.
